My Weekend Story-Monday 16th November
On Thursday I spent the day at school with other teachers for Teacher Only Day. We made a big breakfast of bacon and eggs. It set the alarm off and the fire brigade came down. They were not happy.
It was a very busy day learning about various things about education and a variety of workshops. Then we worked on our reports as they are due very soon.
I was picked up by my partner and daughter and we made our way to Okains Bay. The traffic was not too busy and we stopped at the Hilltop for some wedges and a beer.
The view from the top was amazing as we had a clear blue sky all the way to Okains Bay. When we arrived I unpacked the car and then started the log fire. Dinner was cooking and I was in charge of the rice.
Aunty Megan and her kids arrived Ben, Eli and Tessa. We had dinner then stayed up enjoying the view of the ocean. I read a book called, "The Good Doctor". It is about Lance O'Sullivan the man named New Zealander of the year in 2012. It is a very good book and tells his story growing up with just his Mum and family.
